Chicago 18th edition (shortened notes and bibliography) does not work!! HELP!

I read the same issue in another discussion but haven't found a fix yet. My Chicago 18 shortened notes and bibliography does not use the longer form for the first footnote of the source anymore. If I can't fix it, I will have to type them all in manually... Deadline 15th of June, I'm starting to get nervous but I also can't program code..

    the whole point of the shortened notes style is that it doesn't include the long form in the first note (it assumes the presence of a bibliography. If you want that, use the note style (which will still shorten subsequent notes as all Chicago styles do).
