I write out my papers in notion first, not word. Previously, I would write the citations in a separate word document and then, on my main paper, I would write, for example, [4] to refer to paper number 4. That way, I do not waste time citing papers for points I may not use. I just find it makes my work flow more easily.

Once finished, I go through and replace the numbers with the real citations. Is there a way to get numbers to appear next to papers in the app?
