Zotero Storage Mismatch

I have a WebDAV storage for my personal library, which works quite fine. I also have a group library for my collaborations, which of course, is supposed to be backed up on Zotero. For some reason, My Library still seems to be backed up on both Zotero and my cloud, and it shows that my Zotero storage is full.

Because of this, some files do not sync and I have lost one file with important annotations so far. Did the My Library in Zotero not automatically get removed when I synced with my WebDAV server? Or is Zotero partially syncing My Library still? How can I reclaim the Zotero storage I would need for collaborative group libraries?

First, make sure Zotero is actually set to use WebDAV on all your computers.

Then use “Purge Storage in My Library” on the storage settings page.

(Zotero should have asked you if you wanted to do that when you switched to WebDAV, but you might have said no or something might have gone wrong.)
  • Yep, everything is fine now. I don't recall getting being asked if I wanted to purge my library, so maybe a newer user can be more helpful there. Thank you!
