pdf reader: "back" button after following link in pdf file?

Many pdf files come with links to the cited literature, often listed at the end of the article. Is there a possibility to have a "back" button, to return to the position in the pdf file after following a link?

I often use these links to find new literature, but then I have to find the original position in the file manually.

    There's a Back button in the toolbar. You can also press Cmd/Ctrl-left-arrow.

    Could the Back button also activate when jumping to a new page using a bookmark?
