Feature: Support text substitution in annotations on the Mac

The Mac has built-in text substitution, for instance for ‘smart quotes’ but also for customizable replacements like ‘teh’ to ‘the’. These do not seem to function in annotations (though they do elsewhere in the interface). Please support this feature in annotation comments.

    Okay, confusingly *most* text substitutions (though not smart quotes) work in annotations, but not ones using option(?)

    I have one set up where √ changes to ✓, and it doesn’t work. But others that I’ve tested do.
