Upgrade StorageRandom issue with webdav download on ios (credentials rejected)

Zotero on iOS (iPhone 15) often fails to get attached PDFs from webdav, claiming that the server rejected the login/password combination. The server verifies correctly in Settings, and toying with that config (re-verifying, and/or adding or removing a slash at the end of the domain name seems to temporarily resolves the issue.
My webdav server is as boring as it gets, just an Apache server facing the internet on its own subdomain, with mod_dav enabled.
Not sure how I could start to diagnose this. I don’t have similar issues with Zotero on macos.
The debug id above corresponds to a failed download followed by a reverification of the server.

thblt(btw this is *not* an issue with files missing on the server. I get a distinct error message when I forget to sync new files before trying to get them on the phone)
