Debug ID D848621212: Indexing of PDFs fail Zotero 9.0.3
Since a few days new items/PDFs are not indexed. If clicking the wheel symbol under the attachment nothing at all happens (or the wheel disappears). Normally the wheel rotates while indexing.
(I tried advanced search to see if indexing anyway had occurred, but this was not so. There are error messages in Debug that should be easily understandable I think)

Upgrade Storage
Your database is missing a table. Did you do something unusual to your database? Do you have your Zotero data directory in a cloud storage folder?Sorry, this is wrong. See below.
But now when you ask: I tried to upload Zotero library to Consensus.app. Large database, it worked overnight but in the morning there was error message on Consensus that upload had failed. Maybe connected to that attempt?
If it modified your local SQLite database. Something did, at least. Or it's DB corruption, though that's less likely to show as a missing table. You can check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero settings. But there's no safe way to recover from this, so you'd have to make sure all your data is synced to the online library, delete zotero.sqlite with Zotero closed, and then restart Zotero to create a new DB and pull down your data.(Consensus is supposed to create a one-directional copy, i.e. potential changes made at Consensus are not supposed to be reflected in Zotero later. But the timing of error probably fits when I think about it)
PASSED: No errors found in database.
Well, that doesn't mean anything anyway?
Restarting Zotero should fix this temporarily. We'll put out a proper fix soon.
but this problem is not solved through restarting Zotero. I have done that a number of times, also restarted computer (macOS 26.5).
Maybe further inspection of error codes could reveal something more than that bug.
