Upgrade StorageLocal files disappear in Zotero
Yesterday（2026.05.10）, I added several items and PDF files to Zotero, and then closed the app. When I reopened Zotero today, the PDFs I added yesterday were gone, even though the associated items are still there.Currently, the PDF icons have turned gray, and there are no files in the local folder. I also cannot find these files in the WebDAV synchronized cloud drive. This is the first time such a situation has occurred, and it is very troubling!

dstillman Zotero TeamIf the files were present on disk before, something other than Zotero deleted them — either outside of Zotero or by some Zotero plugin you have installed that's trying to do something to the files. Zotero has no code to delete files separately from the attachment items. (If you had auto-sync on, the files also would've been immediately to your WebDAV server.)
