Word AddIn does not work after Zotero 9 Udate

Hello Zotero-Team,

i am writing my thesis with Zotero, so far it worked perfect.
After updating to Zotero 9 today, I am not able to Add/Edit Citation into my Word Document anymore. The window that shows the reference after clicking the Add/Edit Citation button doesn´t show up anymore. I am afraid to delete Zotero as I don´t know if I will loose all the references in my text, that I made so far.
I greatly appreciate your help on that, as I have an upcomig deadline for my thesis.

    can I do this step without loosing all my excisting references in my word document?

    "If the plugin still isn't working, go to your Word Startup folder, delete Zotero.dotm, and restart Word to make sure that the plugin is completely gone from Word. (If the “Zotero” tab isn't disappearing, see the steps in the linked section.) Once the “Zotero” tab is gone from Word, reinstall the plugin."

    Yes, your data won't be affected.

    (But unless this is an institutional computer or you have non-standard security software, you can almost always simply close Word and then restart Zotero to trigger the update, without performing any manual steps.)

    it worked by restarting and opening Zotero before Word.
