Cursor automatically jumps to beginning when making notes in pdf

i dont have any plugins installed and i have the newest version. when i make notes in highlighted passages, the cursor keeps jumping back to the start. is there anything i can do to fix this?

Hi, I'm having this as well and it's very very irritating.
I've tried disabling all plugins but not sure what else to do.
