Problems Creating Bibliography

Hey everybody,

I've been using Zotero for years, but all of a sudden I'm having problems creating bibliographies from my collections. Neither the places of publications nor the page numbers for book sections transfer from Zotero to word and, when I have multiple citations by the same author, Zotero no longer replaces author name with --- after the first listing.

I just updated to the latest version and it's still having these problems.

Any advice?

What exact citation style are you using, and what are some specific examples?

I tried using APA Style 7th edition and Chicago Manual of Style 18th edition (author-date). I just tried it again and it looks like the APA retains the page numbers but still not the place of publication.

An example of Chicago is:

Hori, Victor Sōgen. 2005. “Introduction.” In Zen Buddhism: A History: Japan. By Heinrich Dumoulin. World Wisdom.

The page numbers and place of publication in Zotero are xiii-xxi and Bloomington, IN but they just don't show up in either the RTF or HTML.

An example of APA is:

Hori, V. S. (2005). Introduction. In Zen Buddhism: A History: Japan (pp. xiii–xxi). World Wisdom.

The page numbers are there but still no place of publication.

APA 7 and Chicago 18th removed place of publication. Chicago 18th made page ranges for book chapters optional.

Ahhh, I see. I just added Chicago 17th edition to my list of citation styles so we're good to go. Thank you so much for your help.
