Upgrade StorageDragging from Zotero to Word creates unlinked citation
I'm on a Mac and have just moved to Zotero from another reference manager. I'm finding the process of adding citations in MS Word a bit slower than I'm used to. I only have a small screen so, in Word, I have to scroll to the right side of the menu bar to open the Zotero tab, click the button to Add/Edit Citation and then search for the article and then add it.
I'm used to being able to drag directly from the reference manager and have a linked citation appear.
I've tried doing this from Zotero to Word and get a reference suitable for a bibliography. I've tried holding down the shift key and it gives me the perfect format, but it's unlinked. I've tried doing Command-Shift-A and I get the same as dragging from Zotero with the shift key down. I've examined preferences and set the Export preferences to "Include Zotero links" but nothing seems to change.
Is there anything that I can do to be able to drag directly from Zotero to Word and get a linked citation? If it can't be done, I understand, but I thought I would give the forums a try in case I'm missing something obvious.

You can, though, assign a keyboard shortcut to the Zotero add/edit citation function and the plugin will show you items currently selected or open in Zotero at the top, so you don't have to search for them.
