Why did Zotero remove volume numbers, et al, from citations? A glitch maybe?

I work frequently with old newspapers. I used to be able to include the newspaper's volume, number and editions. The fields are still there, but the output to include them is gone. I've tried about 10 different citation styles but none include these.

Does anyone know of any style—that Zotero supports— which will include these in citations? Or is this possibly a mistake of some kind?
  • We have more than 10,000 citation styles on the repository. No body can say which style you used to "be able to include the newspaper's volume, number and editions".

If you tell us the style(s) you used, we can say more.
  • The major historically oriented humanities style manuals in English—Chicago, MHRA, New Hart's Rules—all specify that newspapers should be cited by their full date only. This reflects the way in which newspapers are traditionally filed in libraries. Even in a standard database such as Gale, you will see issue numbers when consulting a publication such as The Times (London), but you can only browse by date. The corresponding Zotero styles simply follow the manual when they do not print volume and issue information. The edition field by contrast is crucial for distinguishing between morning and evening editions and should always display.

Some old literary magazines are listed as newspapers in databases but are easier to refer to by volume and issue number, which is easily addressed by changing the item type to a magazine or journal article. Chicago also refers to magazines by full date only, but MHRA and New Hart's Rules both allow volume and issue numbers on this item type.

APA and MLA both display volume and issue numbers for newspapers.
