Alphabetical Sorting
Can somebody point me in the direction of how to get Zotero to sort multiple authors of a single reference alphabetically? I'm using a slightly modified version of Harvard author-date
For example, for whatever reason the multiple authors of a reference get entered not in alphabetical order.. lets say Smith, P then Jones, D
When this reference gets cited, it will come up as "Smith and Jones" not "Jones and Smith". Same goes for the bibliography.
Is there an easy solution for this? Or do I have to go back through all my references and edit them so that they are in Zotero in alphabetical order?
Many thanks

adamsmithI don't know of a solution, no - since the order of authors matters in most disciplines - and in the ones where it doesn't authors appear alphabetically on the publication - I don't think anyone ever felt the need to address this.

toastedited January 10, 2010Thanks for your reply, turns out I had misread the guide. It doesn't require authors to be put in alphabetical order within a reference. Makes much more sense!
