Sorry I didn't find the time to answer earlier. Trying to make a step-by-step instruction to reproduce I figured out that it's not a general problem, only when the document is zoomed in at more than document width (I like to see one column at a time).
Steps to reproduce (idk what's relevant so I list all):
1. Have regular Zotero 7.0.30 (64-bit) on Windows installed (but not opened), without sync. 2. Download Beta as zip-file: Zotero-8.0-beta.17+0748b0975_win-x64 and unzip it 3. Click on zotero.exe inside the unzipped folder 4. Try to view existing highlighted annotations done previously through the regular Zotero installation or add new at zoomed-in level
Expected behaviour: - Previous annotations should show in different colours, regardless of colour scheme chosen or zoom level
Observed behaviour: - Annotations disappear upon zooming in or are not visible if added in zoomed-in state (but are added, as the sidebar shows, just not displayed), regardless of colour scheme.
I've made a short screen video in the beta in bright mode on an open-access paper to illustrate the behaviour: https://files.catbox.moe/lnmghk.mp4
Text selection and highlights are not displayed at high zoom level in the beta:
https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/126236/text-selection-and-highlights-not-displayed-at-high-zoom-level
I see the same blinking behaviour at high zoom levels when switching themes.
