ios feature request: get a deeplink to item

You can currently open deeplinks in the mobile app, but there is no way to generate the deeplink. It would be as simple as having an option in the share sheet to get a deeplink url instead of a citation.

Prior to the latest version I was able to make that work through a workaround - when you would drag an item out of zotero and drop it onto a text field it inserted the item code identifier, and I made a shortcut to general the deeplink schema from that. But in the latest version even that is not possible because drag and dropping an item now generates a full citation.

Deeplinks are crucial for my workflows and I would really love it if it was made possible.
  • I’m posting to second this request. In my use case, dragging and dropping an item to the Bear Notes app does nothing in the latest iOS version, whereas it used to produce a unique ID that I could use with zotero://select/library/items/ID as a deep link.

The only workaround I could find is to use the web interface and get the unique ID from the URL.
  • Posting again to ask if others have found a workaround to get a unique ID for deep linking on iOS. Needless to say, it would be great if the “drag and drop to get unique ID” feature were restored (I’m not sure if its removal is an unnoticed regression, or intentional).
