Hi Zotero team,

I'm having persistent issues with DOI and ISBN lookups failing in the Zotero desktop app. This used to work reliably with my university's network and custom resolver, but now I get the “Zotero could not find a record for the specified identifier” message even for identifiers that previously worked.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Purged my Zotero storage completely

Disabled file syncing

Verified the identifiers work in a browser or via the Zotero Connector

Switched from my university network to a home connection (same issue)

Checked for updates (I’m on the latest Zotero version)

Enabled debug logging and captured a failed lookup attempt
