Upgrade Storagereferences underlined with a dashed line / Verweise mit gestrichelter Linie unterstrichen
Some of my Zotero references in the text are underlined with a dashed line. I don't know in which cases this is the case and how I can get rid of it.
I found a hint in this forum that this happens when you change Zotero references manually.
This applies to several of my problem cases. There I changed the Zotero reference manually by removing the parenthesis.
But I just inserted a reference in a footnote without deleting the bracket, and still the reference is underlined.
Does anyone have any idea why this is and what is the best thing to do about it?
And if this happens when you change a reference manually: Does anyone have any idea how to change the reference in individual cases (e.g. remove the brackets) without the text being underlined?

Und wenn das passiert, wenn man einen Verweis manuell ändert: Hat jemand eine Idee, wie man den Verweis im Einzelfall ändern kann (also z.B. die Klammers entfernen), ohne dass der Text unterstrichen wird?

I use LibreOffice. The text document I am working on has about 400 pages. That's why I had deactivated the automatic update until now. I have just enabled it, but Zotero has quite a lot to do with it. It's been working for about 15 minutes and hasn't finished yet.
However, I only updated my bibliography about 2 hours ago. So it can't be the lack of updating alone.
I've just counted, the problem with the underlined references occurs in 12 different places in my text. In 7 cases I had changed the reference manually, mostly by removing the brackets because I wanted to integrate the reference into the sentence. I'm sure I can find other, more zotero-compatible solutions for this.
But in the other 5 cases, I don't know what the problem is. I did not change the references manually. I didn't just insert them either, but a very long time ago. So I don't know why Zotero underlines these references of all things and thus communicates that they may not be up to date.
My plan is to try to re-insert them when I have auto-update enabled. But because of my large document, Zotero unfortunately takes a very long time to do this, which is not very practical in the long run.

Ich benutze LibreOffice. Das Textdokument, an dem ich arbeite, hat ca. 400 Seiten. Daher hatte ich die automatische Aktualisierung bisher deaktiviert. Ich habe sie gerade aktiviert, aber Zotero hat damit ganz schön viel zu tun. Es ist schon seit ca. 15 Minuten am Arbeiten und ist noch nicht zum Ende gekommen.
Allerdings habe ich mein Literaturverzeichnis erst vor ca. 2 Stunden aktualisiert. An der fehlenden Aktualisierung alleine kann es also nicht liegen.
Ich habe gerade durchgezählt, das Problem mit den unterstrichenen Verweisen kommt in meinem Text an 12 verschiedenen Stellen vor. In 7 Fällen hatte ich den Verweis manuell geändert, zumeist indem ich die Klammern entfernt habe, weil ich den Verweis in den Satz integrieren wollte. Dafür kann ich sicher andere, zotero-kompatiblere Lösungen finden.
Aber bei den anderen 5 Fällen weiß ich nicht, woran es liegt. Ich habe die Verweise nicht manuell geändert. Ich habe sie auch nicht gerade erst eingefügt, sondern schon vor sehr langer Zeit. Ich weiß daher nicht, warum Zotero ausgerechnet diese Verweise unterstreicht und damit kommuniziert, dass sie vielleicht nicht aktuell sind.
Mein Plan ist, zu versuchen, sie neu einzufügen, wenn ich die automatische Aktualisierung aktiviert habe. Aber wegen meinem großen Dokument braucht Zotero damit leider sehr lange, das ist auf Dauer wenig praktikabel.
So I just went through these cases and re-inserted the references and did not change them manually again.
It was cases like this: For this and that, see Miller 2013, Smith 2024, Knight 2025.
In other words, I wanted to write the references in the text without brackets. I don't know of any way to do this with Zotero. So I removed the brackets manually. Now I have done it this way, with the "omit author" function:
For this and that, see Miller (2013), Smith (2024), Knight (2025).
Zotero probably copes better with this and spares me underlining in these cases in future.
But there is one case where this strategy unfortunately doesn't work. There I'll have to think of something else. And in general, of course, I would find it better if I could insert references without brackets if I wanted to. So if anyone has any ideas, please let me know :)

In den meisten Fällen war der Grund für das Unterstreichen, dass ich die Verweise manuell verändert hatte. In diesen Fällen ließ sich die Unterstreichung nicht durch eine Aktualisierung beseitigen.
Daher bin ich diese Stellen gerade durchgegangen und habe die Verweise neu eingefügt und sie nicht manuell geändert.
Es handelte sich um Fälle wie diesen: Für dies und das siehe Miller 2013, Smith 2024, Knight 2025.
Das heißt, ich wollte die Verweise ohne Klammern in den Text schreiben. Mir ist keine Weise bekannt, wie man das mit Zotero machen kann. Daher hatte ich die Klammern manuell entfernt. Jetzt habe ich es so gemacht, mit der Funktion "Autor auslassen":
Für dies und das siehe Miller (2013), Smith (2024), Knight (2025).
Damit kommt Zotero vermutlich besser zurecht und verschont mich an diesen Stellen künftig mit Unterstreichungen.
Aber an einer Stelle funktioniert diese Strategie leider nicht. Da muss ich mir etwas anderes ausdenken. Und allgemein fände ich es natürlich besser, wenn ich Verweise auch ohne Klammern einfügen könnte, wenn ich das möchte. Also wenn da jemand eine Idee hat, gerne her damit :)
