citing TV show episode in Chicago, episode # doesn't appear

Hi, I'm working on dissertation using Chicago style 17 edition full note. I want to cite specific episodes of a show so for example episode 1 season 1 of the show The Newsroom. The Chicago guides I've seen have it look like this on the bibliography:

Director(s) of the episode. "Title of the episode." Title of the show. season Season number, episode Episode number, Network, Year of publication.

Instead of giving me anything close to that I get this:

«Decidimos hacerlo» (title of the episode in spanish), The Newsroom (title of the show) (Estados Unidos: HBO, 24 de junio de 2012) (Publisher and date of broadcasting), cap. 1 temporada 1(I added the field chapter on the note so it would display the episode number and season), https://play.max.com. (URL)

Neither the director nor the writer are displayed even though I have them on the info in zotero. Am I doing something wrong for those fields to not show up on the bibliography?

If anyone has any idea how to make those fields work please help. The only other discussion I saw that had this problem was unanswered and from two years ago :_)
  • I'm working on this as part of a rewrite of the Chicago styles for the 18th edition. This will probably make it to Zotero in May or June, depending on how long it takes to review (this is a volunteer effort). If you can't wait that long, my working files are available here:

  • Thank you so much for your answer! I might not be able to wait, but it depends on what my tutor says. I have two chances to hand in my dissertations, one at the end of April and another at the beginning of June, so I might or might not be able to wait. Worse case scenario is need to modify those references by hand once the rest of my cites are in and I've checked I don't have a similar problem with other document formats.
I'll have a look at your files as well, thank you so much for sharing them and for the volunteer work. I know this is all a collective effort and I can't imagine how the hell people worked without this tool before.
  • You can always download the style from the PR that was shared. View the code, then right click on Raw and use save as... to download.
