Lookup Engines not available

I needed to reinstall Zotero and now the Lookup Engines are not available:

I replaced the engines.json file with the one on https://github.com/bwiernik/zotero-tools, and they seem activated:

But they still seem to be unavailable. Am I doing something wrong?

    What happens when you select an item first?
  • Silly me! They are working, after all, they only became visible when an item is selected.

  • Anyway, in Zotero 6 it works perfectly, but in Zotero 7, not so well. By selecting an item, I can see all the engines:

    But it is not possible to manage all of them. The management box only shows the first 5 and does not allow you to scroll down or increase the window size:


  • On Zotero 7.0.13 and 7.1-beta.23+6787dcd59 (macOS) I can see all. It looks like you are seeing this old issue: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/117275/zotero-7-buttons-in-manage-lookup-engines-window-are-not-visible-with-more-engines
  • Yes, it can be that, I'm working in a corporate pc with the version 7.0.3. I'll request to update Zotero. Thanks a lot for your help.
