Turn off auto updates for Zotero (in Windows OS)

We need to disable auto updates for Zotero in our enviroment. We are deploying this application through SCCM and will also continue to handle the updates as we don't allow auto updates in our enviroment and also the users are not admins. We do understand that it is recommended to not turn off this feature but we will, as mentioned, handle this by ourselfs and keep the application updated.

Have tried searching for information but can just find it for Mac OS users.

    It's the same on all platforms. Set app.update.auto to false in prefs.js in the Zotero profile folder.

    Ah. Im sorry I didn't understand that earlier. Zotero is all new to me. Found it now and will test this. Thank you so much for the quick response.

    I am not against auto updates for minor versions, but I would prefer to be prompted before upgrading to a new major version (there I find auto update a bit rude). Which setting(s) would achieve this?
