How to add the Article Title to Angewandte Chemie citation style

Hello!

The journal I intend to publish in requires Angewandte Chemie as the citation style, including the article's title. However, when choosing the style, the article's title does not appear in the reference.

How do I add the article's title to the reference? I have not found an easy option in the citation style editor.
  • Can you link to the guidelines of the style and also a recent, open-access article so we can cross-check this and if necessary fix it?

Citation guidelines, especially for Wiley journals, are often outdated.
As you see from the published and type-set article, no titles are required for journal articles.
    Example paper:
    [4] A. J. Bissette, S. P. Fletcher, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2013, 52, 12800.

    Our style:
    [1] J. L. Campbell, O. K. Pedersen, Comp. Polit. Stud. 2007, 40, 307–332.

You can just use the style we provide and if indeed the editors say something, please come back here.
  • Hi damnation!

If you can add titles to style, I would grateful. Reviewers pointed out that the reference style is improper. I tried to change the style myself in visual editor. By some reason title is not shown only for "article" but is shown in "thesis". Even if I change type from thesis to article, the title dissapears. The style can be called ChemBioChem

Here is a fresh OA reference for example: https://chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/cbic.202500048

That links to a paper in ChemBioChem? That's a completely different journal.

    Yes, it is.

In Notice to authors they ask to use Angewandte Chemie ref style. They also mention that it is shared by many journals in Chemistry Europe. The difference with current Angewandte Chemie ref style is absence of titles on brackets "" for Articles.
  • Hello, I have the same problem. I intend to send my article to ChemMedChem, and they require Angewandte Chemie style. But also in guideline for authors they have this: ((References: please list all authors with first-name initial(s) THEN the last name, and do not use “et al.” Please list only one literature citation per reference number, i.e., NO sub-parts a), b), c)…))
((Examples for Journals: please include article title.))
    [5] B. Krebs, H. U. Hürter, “Article Title…” Acta Crystallogr. Sect. A 1981, 37, 163.
    [6] G. Eulenberger, “Article Title…” Z. Naturforsch. B 1981, 36, 521.

Can you help us to adjust Angewandte Chemie style according to requirements?
