Citation Links are incorrect

I have a paper and the in-text citation labels are completely wrong. For example, the paper has equations and whenever there is a 1 in the equation, it tries to link to the first citation. These errors are abundant. Can I remove the links or fix them?

    (Note that you'll want to refer to the "PDF reader" for something like this. If you just talk about "citations" here, people are generally going to assume you're talking about citations you've created using the word processor plugin.)
