How to pay for Zotero File Storage from other countries?

I am really looking forward to the Zotero file storage update, cause my research group wants to store their literature into our group library. 100 MB is way too small for that.

I`ve read the FAQ-page for the file storage and noticed, that the payment will be handled by Google Checkout. I suspect that these payment system is not available in my country (Germany), so even when there is the new storage space available we wont be able to participate.

Am I right or is it possible to pay with google checkout without a american credit card? I`ve searched the Net but didnt get a reliable answer.
If not, please consider other payment possibilities.

"Buyers from many other countries outside the United States and United Kingdom can also sign up for the service and make purchases through Google Checkout. While their purchases will always be processed in the currency matched to your address (U.S. dollars for U.S. merchants or Pounds Sterling for U.K. merchants), buyers' credit cards will usually provide seamless currency conversion."

So you'd probably need a credit card, but it doesn't need to be an American one.
  • Thanks, thats a relief.
So I am back to waiting happily for the file storage upgrade.
