Ipad Z not loading new docs; sync error msg

Hi fabulous peeps.
Having a problem with the iPad app not collecting and syncing new docs added to the main. (I use the beta release of the app.) Appears to sync, but then nothing happens, and the following error msg is available:

  • Thanks for reporting, we've identified the issue and it will be fixed soon.
  • Anthony: We've fixed this in the latest iOS app beta, and the fix will be in 1.0.44 soon. (There were some newline characters in the .prop files that we don't store there — probably from a third-party app you used previously — and they were tripping up the iOS app.)
  • Thanks Dan and team. My beta app seems to have updated. I no longer get the error message, but fyi the app is still not downloading subsequently added items and files.

  • So I've played around a bit more. What I found was that none of my added items and files since 1 November were syncing between Z and the iPad app using the beta. Fortunately only about 25 items. So I exported them, deleted them from Zotero, checked that these changes synced, and then re-imported the items. They now seem to be properly sync-ing. Hope this helps to understand what is going on.

    I mean, it doesn't… We needed a Debug ID to have any idea what the problem was or to fix it for others.
  • Ok I forgot to do that this time. If you want I can sync again while running debug and send it through. But is that useful?
