Zotero 7 Lost WebDAV

Hi I upgraded to Zotero 7 and I love the user experience.

The dark mode as well with it in the pdf reader is awesome. My concern is that the WebDAV sync is not available. It was a native functionaltiy in Zotero 6.
Can we please bring that as well to Zotero 7?

Zotero 7 has webdav (same for Zotero on iOS). If you are having trouble making it work, please explain what you have tried.

Hi @enozkan, I tried the same way that is presented in the instructions, but this was only for Zotero 6. Zotero 7 doesn't have the WebDAV option on Preferences -> Sync

Unfortunately, same result, Sync doesn't show WebDAV option.

Because you need to sign in first using your Zotero account. WebDAV *only* syncs files, not your data. That was only and always done via Zotero, using your Zotero account.

Once you sign in, then file syncing options (via Zotero or WebDAV) will appear.

None of this has changed at all for as long as I can remember (10+ years?). There are no significant differences between Zotero 6 and 7 on this regard.

No problem. When you upgrade from Zotero 6 to 7, all this should just carry over automatically. I am curious why that did not happen.

You can always install a new version of Zotero, overwriting the old version of the app, but unless you found and deleted your data folder and profile, your library and syncing options will remain. In other words, even installing a new version over an old one acts more like an upgrade. You old preferences should have carried over.

(Also upgrade to 7.10. Your version, 7.0.1 is three months old, and there have been many improvements since then. I am also not sure how you could find an old version to install.

Maybe I've changed something before the upgrade to 7...

About the second post, I don't have yet 7.10. As mentioned above, the option I have is to 7.0.9 that is already up-to-date :)
