Zotero not opening up after downloading the new version (Zotero 7.0)

I am having issues opening Zotero. I downloaded the new version, but it doesn't run. I uninstalled it, restarted my PC, and then installed it again. However, Zotero is still not opening. I ran it as an administrator, yet that did not work either.

Can you please assist?

    (You should never run Zotero or other productivity apps as administrator.)

    Is this an institutional computer? Is your institution using any third-party security software?
  • Thank you for letting me know about running Zotero as an administrator. This is my personal computer. I have been uninstalling/reinstalling the Zotero app multiple times with no success.
  • What exactly happens when you try to run it?

    And are you running any non-standard security software?
