I used Zotmoove and now my Zotero storage has folders that are empty. I do have a Google Drive with the pdf files. Unfortunately the online Zotero library does not show the pdfs anymore which means that I can only see if I have a PDF by looking at Zotero on my desktop?
So in the web library you can see the parent item (if you have data syncing on, which is free and unlimited) but not the attached PDF.
If you need to check if you have a (linked) PDF for an particular existing item you would indeed look in Zotero desktop, or directly in your Google Drive folder synced to any device you work on; including the web interface to Google Drive. If all your linked PDF files are in a single folder on Google Drive, it should be easy to find PDFs by name in that folder. And you can read/annotate those PDFs in an external reader on mobile devices. Those annotations will be visible in the Zotero PDF reader back on your computer (but locked, unless imported) .
- For renaming files, you can use the main Zotero program...
- For other features you can now opt for other plugins like Attanger, Zotmoove, etc
I recommend you to do a search in this Forum, and find the option that best suits your needs.
