Zotero Plugins in LibreOffice Writer
So I don't want the Zotero plugins in LibreOffice Writer. However despite having always uninstalling them and removing, whenever I restart LibreOffice they are back. The issue seems to be that whenever I open the desktop version of Zotero it reinstalls the plugins in LibreOffice. Is there a way I can stop it from doing this? Short of uninstalling the Zotero desktop app.
It shouldn't be reinstalling the plugin on each restart, though. Unless there's an error during the installation or there's a problem saving settings in Zotero, it would just reinstall it whenever there's an update.
Unchecking the toolbar also hides it permanently in general, but if the plugin is getting reinstalled on every Zotero restart, LO might show it again.
How did you install Zotero? Are you seeing this with Zotero 7.0.4?
I've installed the software from: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-deb
which is recommended under the Linux install instructions. My current version is 7.0.3. This way, at least, I can update the package using apt.
I think that the Zotero tries to install the Libre plugin after every restart. I was able to hide the toolbar in Writer (it worked only after several tries and restarts), but the plugin is still there in Extensions (and not working). :-)
Anyway, this state of things is fine by me, as long as I don't see the toolbar in Writer.
Thanks for the help!
Kind regards.
As a side note, I just recently switched from Mendeley and I am not going back. I really like this software so far; version 7 is a game changer. Great work!
Thanks again.
