Where is "replace online library"?

Hi -- I accidentally deleted a large folder in my Zotero library. I have a backup file from a few days ago, but the first time I opened it, I hadn't turned autosync off, so autosync re-deleted the folder. Fortunately, I had copied the backup, so I've now turned off autosync and can still open a recent-ish version of the library, including the folder I want.

I would like to replace my online library with the pre-deletion version that is now opening on my local software, per these instructions: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/sync_reset_options#replace_online_library

But I can't find a "Replace Online Library" option, either on the program or the web version. Can someone point me to exactly where this option is?

Thanks --

Settings -> Sync -> Show Reset Options (at the bottom, you might need to scroll to see it)
  • Thanks! It looked a little different for me but that helped to find it. In case anyone finds this post, in my version (6.0.36), it was:

Preferences -> Sync -> Reset -> Replace Online Library
  • Hi,
I also need this function as I have accidentally f*****d up my web library. But I cannot find the "replace online library" option where you described it. I use Zotero version 9.0.6 (Mac OS). Any ideas? Was this function removed from the app?
  • Settings -> Account -> Show Reset Options (at the bottom, under "Sync Reset" header, you might need to scroll to see it)
  • Many thanks for the pointer. But I cannot go to setting -> Account.

In the Zotero setting, there are only these tabs available:
General, Sync, Export, Cite and Advanced

There do not seem to be reset option in any of these? (I use a Mac.) Any ideas?
  • You should update to Zotero 10 (though the reset options are available in 9, under 'Sync')
  • This did the trick. Many thanks Adam & tnajdek. Much appreciated! :)
