I can not open the zotero after uograding it to 7.0 version

I have been using the 6.0 version of Zotero for a long time and it always works well but I can not open it when I double-click its icon or from the run as an admin way after upgrading to the 7.0 version. Then, I uninstalled this software and downloaded its package for reinstallation, but the same issue appeared even if I restarted my computer. Finally, I have to downgrade it to the original 6.0 version and everything is normal.
  • Don't run Zotero as administrator.

    Is this Windows?

What exactly happens when you try to start Zotero?
  • My pc system is the Win 11 education. I double-click the Zotero desktop icon, and a waiting circle appears, but then the circle disappears immediately, and nothing happens

So this is an institutional computer? Are you running non-standard security software?

If so, you should try disabling it or checking its logs. (You might need your IT department to help with that.) That's certainly the most likely culprit here, and there's not much we can tell you without any sort of log from the system about what's happening.
  • yes. This computer is managed by university IT and with a non-standard security software cisco secure client
  • OK, I'm afraid you'll need to ask your IT department.

yes. you are right. it works after disabling my secure software. thanks a lot!
  • OK, great, thanks for letting us know. It would be good to ask your IT department to report this to Cisco.

yes. I have submitted this issue to my IT department, thanks.
  • We've received other reports of Cisco Secure Endpoint causing this:

Merging with that thread for further debugging.
