Upgrade StorageZotero causing Firefox to close unexpectedly

In the last week or so I've noticed that while using Zotero Firefox will suddenly close unexpectedly. The window will close as well as the actual program. The problem has become more frequent of late, but I have not received any error messages.
When this happens I am often (although not always) running other programs such as iTunes and Microsoft Word, and yet they do not seem affected by the same problem.
I am running Firefox 3.5.5 and Zotero 2.0b7.4 on a Mac running OS X 10.5.8. My computer has no viruses that I am aware of (I just did a scan last night and it came back clean) and am unsure of how to fix this. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Seems more likely some other FF issue, unless it's directly connected to an action you take in Zotero.
My two best guesses would be something related to flash or conflicting/misbehaving add-ons.
