1141346943 Someone logged into my account

hello, i've been using my zotero account for more than 2 years now and i haven't had any issue llike, yester i found a library that is not mine and i found items in the trash aswell, i would like to know how could someone have possibly logged to my account and used it without me getting any email about it. need to fix this ASAP.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. If you're talking about the account you're posting from, the account isn't a member of any group libraries.

Do you mean a collection rather than library?

Can you share the names of some of the things in question, or share a screenshot, either here or in an email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? (We'll respond here either way.)
  • i mean that i found in my library a folder that is not mine i have never created it or saved those things and everything in there is so far from my field, i also found items that are not mine in the trash or in unfiled items, i don't understand how can that possibly happen

We’d need examples, as I say above.

(But generally this would happen from leaving Zotero logged into your account on a shared computer.)

All I can tell you is that those additions came from an IP address in your country, and they were made on a Mac running Zotero that has been accessing this library since 2022.

If this wasn't you, it was a device that you left yourself logged into in the past. You can delete all active sync logins from the Feeds/API section of your account settings to remove access.
  • is there a possibility that you tell me how did you know all these details so i can look further into this please
  • dstillman Zotero Team
Because we have logs of account access. You can see the IP addresses that have accessed your account from the settings page above.
  • okay so should the option delete key solve my problem?
  • dstillman Zotero Team
    Yes.
  • okay thank you so much i deleted all the keys, hopefully this will fix everything, thank you.
