Link to specific text in documents
Zotero and other solutions seem to be geared towards producing citation information for reference lists. Nice. But I am looking for a tool that will help me do a literature review.
As I read papers I want to be able to capture key ideas, figures, or snippets of text in one document but be able to easily go from the snippet to the original document (e.g. by clicking on it).
Is there a way to “link into” documents in zotero this way from an external document?

bwiernikInstall the Zotfile plugin. Then, you can right click on the item, click Manage Attachments, and Extract annotations. This will extract comment bubbles, highlights, and underlines into a Zotero note, with links to the pages in the PDF.

billtubbsedited October 16, 2018Thanks @bwiernik . Zotfile sounds like the solution. I installed the add-on and now trying to figure out how to start using it. Can't seem to find any instructions or tutorials... I posted [here](https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/74132/getting-started-with-extracting-highlighted-text-from-pdfs#latest) to get some help.
