I can't get zotero to work, every time I click on zotero a weird little window pops up.

As soon as you open Zotero this window pops up with the following contents, if you close this window it will close the whole software and you will not be able to use Zotero.

If you tap Check for Updates, a small window like the one below pops up with nothing in it. If you close this little window, the entire Zotero is still closed together.

(Be sure to say in your thread title when you're referring to the Zotero 7 beta.)

Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”, or hold down Shift at startup) to temporarily disable all plugins, uninstall Better BibTeX, and then contact the plugin developer for help.

This would be some problem with the plugin, but this shouldn't break Zotero, so we've fixed this in the latest beta, 7.0.0-beta.70. If you're seeing this, you can reinstall Zotero from the Beta Builds page.
