Bib in GoogleDoc drops hyper-links

When putting a bib into a Google doc, in both chrome and safari, hyperlinks that are active in Zotero's citation style preview (e.g., doi:...) are rendered as plain text when the bib is created/updated in the doc. A feature or a bug? If the latter, does anyone have a workaround?

I couldn't find similar issues in the forums; apologies if I've missed them.

    It's a limitation of Google Docs. Zotero citations themselves are internally stored as links in Google Docs, so we cannot make the doi text a proper link.
