Citation style that skips prefixes and suffixes

I had a doc with lots of refs with the same author and year so added suffixes to differentiate them from each other. Now that I've come to change all my citations to superscript nos, the suffixes are showing up next to the ref no. My doc is over 150 pages so I really don't want to have to manually change them all. Is there a way to ignore the suffixes when superscript nos?
  • No, sorry, pre and suffixes exist outside of the citation styles, so can't be modified/formatted/omitted using citation styles. (FWIW, using an author-date style, Zotero should add disambiguating elements itself)
