new to zotero: how to automatically save a web page?

hi. i just got zotero & downloaded the connector as well, but when i click the extension icon in a web page i'd like to site it doesn't save it anywhere. am i misunderstanding? or doing something wrong? thanks in advance.

Assuming that you mean a 'snapshot' of the web page, the first thing to check is that you have Edit\Preferences\General\'Automatically take snapshots when creating items from web pages' in Zotero Desktop set to ON.

Webpages should then get saved via the Connector as described:
https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero

You can also force the Connector to save a web page differently, ie with/without snapshot, by right clicking on its browser icon and looking under the Save to Zotero options.
