Hello team!

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps you have advised:
Re-installing the plugin from Zotero; re-installing it manually according to the guides available on your sources; checking the work plugin is checked in Word's options; checking the trusted center; even downloaded the version 7. And the ribbon is still not shown on in the app.

Please help :)

Are you saying Zotero.dotm does show up in Word and is checked?

Can you share a screenshot of the ribbon where you're not seeing it?

Hi, yes - it is checked but still doesn't show the Zotero tab in the ribbon.

OK, and if you go to File → Options → Add-ins, does Zotero.dotm appear somewhere in the list? In what section?

It will appear in the Active section as an template.

If you have modified you Normal.dotm template in Word the Zotero tab might not appear. Resetting it might help. Find your Normal.dotm file under C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates and move it somewhere else temporarily (like your desktop), then restart Word. Does the Zotero tab appear then?

Hi,

Thanks for that suggestion, I did moved the file as advised an restarted Word app. It then recreated a new Normal.dotm file after a little while, but this unfortunately didn't resolved the issue.

Here is the Word version we're using at our organisation.

If you open Zotero.dotm in Word manually, do you see the Zotero tab?

Do you get a prompt to enable macros when opening the file manually? What are your macro settings set to in the trust centre?

No prompts are populated during when opening the file manually.

Are these institutional computers or are you troubleshooting for a private computer? Could some group policy be overriding this? Can you create a new Windows user account on this computer and see if you get the Zotero tab there?
