Date modified can't change.

I don't know when it started or if I did something wrong. When I add/delete some annotations to an open PDF file, the modification date of the file does not change with it.
To this end I uninstalled it and reinstalled the various versions with no resolution.
Mac OS14
Zotero all version(include beta7).

    I have found the same problem on Linux Mint.

    @sinoftj: That's the Date Modified of the parent item. That's about the metadata of the item itself — annotations have no effect on that. (Annotations don't even affect the Date Modified of the attachment, though perhaps they should.)
