Docs & PDFs from Chrome are not syncing to Zotero via connector

Every time I try to add the link/doc to Zotero, I get this message " An error occurred while saving this item. Try again, and if the issue persists see Getting Help for more information." I have tried everything on the Getting Help page and it is still not working. Please help!
