Hi,
I have problems when inserting and managing citations in a new word document. It is small document (a few lines).

I insert a citation using the “Add/edit citation” button.
The citation is inserted at the right place: e.g. R Core Team, 2018
But the bibliography does not appear at the end of the text, although the option to automatically refresh the document is activated.
Then, I click the “Refresh” button, but it does not add or change anything.
Then, I select the citation field in the text, and click the “Add/Edit Bibliography”, and I get the following message “Remplacer ce champ zotero?” (Sorry it is in french)
If I agree, it replaces the citation by the bibliography directly in the text: e.g. R Core Team, 2018. A language and environment for statistical computing. R Foundation for Statistical Computing, Vienna, Austria.

Then I do the same procedure in another line in the text: I insert another citation. The citation is inserted at the right place. I click the “Add/Edit Bibliography” and add another citation. It does not changes the citation in the text, but it changes the bibliography that was inserted in the first location.

In summary, the different fields (citation 1, citation2, bibliography, …) seem to be mixed.
The problem is not related to a specific citation. It occurs with any citation of my library and with any new MSWord document.

Thank you for your help.

Maybe I misunderstood your sequence of events, but one uses "Add Bibliography" where you want the bibliography inserted. If you want the bibliography at the end, you click at the end of you document, and then click Add/Edit Bibliography.

Once you add the bibliography, it will auto-update each time you add/edit a new citation, so you don't have to do it again. You just use Add/Edit Citation from there on.

Also, it sounds like you tried to insert a bibliography in the middle of a citation? That's not a good idea.

If it is all a mess now, you can always delete the entire bibliography (make sure it is all deleted), and insert a fresh new one using the Add/Edit Bibliography button where you want it. Any citations you have added in the document will generate a new bibliography.

Sorry if I misunderstood your problem.
