While trying to manually enter a publication I've noticed that splitting the author field into two fields is only possible after entering something into the field. After creating the item, the author field just says "(Full Name)" and clicking the three dots next to it doesn't have any effect. Only after entering a name can I click on them to split the name field into two fields (last/first name).
