Ctrl+click on hyperlinks in PDF files

Is it possible to add a setting for hyperlinks in PDF files to jump only when using Ctrl Click?
The current mode of clicking to open hyperlinks directly is easy to misuse.
  • Why exactly the current behavior is an issue?
  • In order to avoid some misoperation. For example, there are the following two sentences :
This is a test (author, year). Fig1show that this is a test (author, year).
If I want to select the second sentence. I must be very careful to click between the first " (author, year)" and "Fig 1", even before the first " (author, year)" . It is easy to cause misoperation.
Moreover, the page is full of all kinds of jump links: journal names, DOI, pictures, annotations, figure1, email, references, recommended papers etc. You must be careful when clicking the mouse to avoid these traps. If it is a touch screen, it will be even worse. Making it hard to put your hands on the screen.
Of course, some people like the current way of opening hyperlinks, but I hope Zotero can provide a new and more conservative way of opening hyperlinks.
