Modify the Zotero program directory to make writeable

In my Linux computer, when I ask Zotero to update, it says that I don't have the permission. It says to "modify the Zotero program directory to make writeable by your user account". It seems pretty clear to me what I need to do in theory, but it is unclear specifically what is the "Zotero program directory". I changed the permission in "~/snap/zotero-snap/common/Zotero", but that didn't help.

We don't have anything to do with the snap package, so we can't help with this, but generally if you're using a package it would handle updates and you wouldn't be using the built-in updater — that's kind of the point.

The package maintener can disable zotero's own update mechanism, you might want to report this to the snap builder.
