partial faults with transfer the writer from the library to the list of references in word

Hello,

when I creat a list of references in word sometimes only "----" at the position of the writer. This items have a writer in the library and they are not the same kind of items, e. g. website or law.

I know, I could put the writers in the list of references by hand, but this is should be the compromise, if there ist no other solution

I hope anyone can help me.
Thank you!

That's just the subsequent-author rule for the citation style you're using.

If you think it's incorrect, say the exact style you're using and link to style guidelines that say otherwise.
  • I changed the citation style from "Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (author-date)" to "American Psychological Science Association" and the problem is still there.

There is no rule visible, so I think there is no basic mistake.

Yes, because both Chicago author-date and APSA call for that (or at least did traditionally — it might be optional now). APSA mostly follows Chicago.

If you want to change this, you can edit the style to avoid using the dashes:

  • (We'll remove this from APSA, which explicitly discourages it now; Chicago is a bit ambivalent about it, but mostly still uses it, so we'll keep it there).
  • The problem is solved with deleting the phrase.

    Thanks!
