I have been using Zotero and all the referencing has been going fine, until now, when it has started adding it as (1) even if the reference has been used already ( 70+), What is going on?

It did not resolve the issue that all citations are still coming up as (1) even if they have been previously used , perhaps the above is correct and i have to retrieve from a previous saved document, thanks
