This item could not be saved because Zotero is not open or is unreachable

  • I am new to Zotero and am so frustrated! Everytime I try to save anything, I get the error message " This item could not be saved because Zotero is not open or is unreachable. Please open Zotero and try again". I have done this several times,still not luck. Can someone please help?

    You'd get this message if the Zotero app — not the website — isn't open on your computer. Have you installed and opened the app?
