Convert "Stored Files" to "Linked Files"

The docs (https://www.zotero.org/support/attaching_files) explain the distinction between "Stored Files" and "Linked Files". Currently I have stored all PDFs in my library as Stored Files. Is there a way to convert all these attachments to Linked Files instead, specifying the target directory where PDFs would be placed?
