Ability to toggle between Author (Date) and (Author, Date) in Zotero 7?

I've recently moved to Zotero due to its unsurpassed functionality in setting up categories and working with PDFs.

However, I'm surprised at not having the option to toggle between (Author, Date) and Author (Date) in in-text citations, which has been available in Endnote for ages. It is an issue that arises on pretty much every project and the workaround of manually adding author details feels antiquated, particularly given the sophistication of the other Zotero tools.

I've looked through the forums and I can see that this issue was raised 10 years ago https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/29342/solved-keeping-author-date-and-author-date-format-in-one-document

There was also a subsequent post that suggested it would be addressed via the implementation of CSL 1.1, which was slated for release at the end of 2020 (though it seems that the current version is still 1.02). https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/29342/solved-keeping-author-date-and-author-date-format-in-one-document

So I'm wondering about the status of adding this functionality - is it on the roadmap for Zotero 7? Or does it require a CSL update? Or has it been fixed and I'm just missing the switch, in which case apologies for the long post!
